Words jump off the page and take hold of me

You see, it’s like these words were written for me

like similes, metaphors and hyperboles.

Let me repeat, because my student’s faces are beyond bored

in their seats,

Words jump off the page and take hold of me

These words grab tight like a mother’s embrace at night

These words bring laughter, love and life into my mind

I’ve searched, and have been lucky to find
