This includes any ways that the learner receives information: readings, discussion prompts, writing, videos, articles, books, podcasts, etc. In the virtual learning environment, the content needs to be solid enough to stand on its own when there is not a teacher explaining it. Varied: Use different tools and types of content for engagement and student choice.
Necessary: Be sure that content is needed for student learning and not just busy work.
